What does it mean to be young? It is a time of becoming, a transient period in life, when the innocence of childhood is gradually fading as the joys and sorrows of adulthood begin to loom in the distance – visible, but not yet fully realized, understood and experienced. In Being Young – Portraits of Becoming I invite viewers to look closely at this fleeting yet formative chapter in life. This series of portraits is meant to be a visual poem – a compilation of features and postures, glances and gestures.
